Keystone's Nordic Center offers more than 9 miles (16 kilometers) of groomed trails and provides access to more than 35 miles (57 kilometers) of nearby packed trails through the White River National Forest (these trails require a 3-5 mile drive to reach the trail heads). The Nordic Center is open and offering a full selection of trails as well as old-fashioned family tubing. Thanks to some help from Mother Nature and more than 9-inches of snowfall!
- Open daily 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Located in The River Course clubhouse (Elk Run neighborhood/East Keystone).
- Daily programs include classic cross-country skiing, ski-skating, telemark skiing, snowshoeing, and family tubing.
- Group and private lessons available with advanced reservation.

The Nordic Soup Bistro. Relax and warm up before or after your Nordic adventure with a beverage (beer, wine, coffee, cocoa, soft drinks) and a snack in the clubhouse or on the sunny patio. Enjoy a soup buffet lunch, served daily from 11:45 a.m. - 2 p.m. beginning December 19th. Bottomless bowls of soup & hot rolls for $10, tax included. Group Nordic Skiing Lesson
An introduction to cross-country skiing techniques. Learn how to move efficiently, turn and stop. Daily at 10 a.m. $38 includes trail fee, equipment rental, and 1-hour lesson. $5 off with your Adventure Passport.
Personal Trainer
A private lesson in classic cross-country or ski-skating techniques. Afternoons, by reservation only. $49 includes trail fee, equipment rental, and 1-hour lesson. Discounted prices for 2-3 participants. $5 off with your Adventure Passport.
Telemark Lessons
Learn the basics of this classic old-fashioned turn on downhill runs. Group lessons on Tuesdays & Fridays at 10:30 a.m. $70 includes 2-hour lesson and equipment rental. Lift ticket is not included. 24-hour advance reservation required.
Private lessons also available with advanced reservation ($125 single, $30 each additional participant).
Snowshoe Ecology Hike
An easy family-oriented hike through the Snake River Valley. Learn about local wildlife, plants & mining history. Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.; Fridays 1 - 3 p.m. $31 includes trail fee, equipment rental and tour. Minimum age is 7 years. 50% off with your Adventure Passport.
Peak-to-Peak Snowshoe Trek
Snowshoe from the top of the gondola on Dercum Mountain to Bergman's Bowl and back. Enjoy the amazing views and get a great workout! Thursdays, leaving at 10:15 a.m. and returning around 2:30 p.m. Or any day with a minimum of 3 people and advanced reservations. $60 includes equipment rental, tour and gondola/lift ride. Reservations required.
Full Moon Snowshoe Tour
Enjoy a moon-lit snowshoe hike and dinner. The mostly level terrain is perfectly suited to groups and families. $35 includes equipment rental, tour, and soup buffet dinner. Tours begin between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., depending on time of year. Minimum age is 12 years. Reservation required.
Winter 07/08 Tour Dates: December 22, 2007; January 19, February 22, and March 21, 2008.
Friday Ladies Days
Lessons taught by women for women. This unique program combines social activities with classic cross-country skiing in the morning and snowshoeing or ski-skating in the afternoon. Fridays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. $55 includes lessons, equipment rental, and lunch. Minimum age is 12 years. Reservations are required.
FOR KIDS:
Polar Bears
A group cross-country ski lesson specially designed for kids ages 6-12 years. Your child will learn the basics of cross-country skiing on level terrain and will become familiar with sliding on the snow. Available daily by advance reservation. $35 includes 45-minute lesson and equipment rental.
Family Tubing
Tubing the old fashioned way - walk up and slide down. Daily 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., weather dependent. Tube rental required (at the Nordic Center). $14 per hour per tube. Tube availability is first come, first served. For safety reasons, personal sleds are not permitted at any time.
