• 9 – 10 a.m. Enjoy fresh tracks. The first mountain, Dercum Mountain, offers great groomed runs to get you warmed up. Good warm up runs:
o Beginners – Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon
o Intermediates – Spring Dipper and Paymaster
o Terrain Park – The Incubator Park is located off Schoolmarm next to the A51 terrain park.
The Incubator is the beginner park and accesses the A51 lift.
• 10-11:30 a.m. Explore Dercum Mountain
Parents: make some laps on Dercum Mountain’s mid mountain lift the Montezuma Express.
o Intermediate Trails – Frenchman, Wild Irishman, Flying Dutchman. Hoo Doo and Bachelor are
good intermediate bump runs.
Teens: Go hit the terrain park and lap the A51 lift.
o Remember to scout the features before attempting them. If you have mastered the small features in
the Incubator try the medium features on the Park Lane line.
• 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Beat the rush and take a break for lunch at the Summit House located at the top of the River Run Gondola.
• 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Explore North Peak
Parents: Head back to North Peak, the second mountain. Let lunch settle and take the Outpost Gondola back to North Peak.
Teens: Take the Mozart trail down to the Santiago lift. Take it to the peak and then head down to the gondola and meet your parents.
o Prospector trail is directly under the gondola and is a great groomed run to kick off your afternoon.
o Intermediate Trails: Santa Fe and Starfire – this is where the U.S. Alpine Team trains early season
• 2-2:30 p.m.
Parents: Hot Chocolate Break – Sit by the roaring fireplace at The Outpost lodge over by the Outpost Gondola for a break.
Teens: Try one of the famous bump runs on North Peak. Take Starfire down to Bullet. Meet the parents back at the Outpost.
• 2:30-3:30 p.m. Ski your way back to the front mountain. Take Prospector trail down to Ruby chairlift. Finish up your afternoon on your favorite run from the morning or teens head back to the park. Pay attention to signs so you end up at the right base area – either River Run or Mountain House. To get to River Run: The River Run trail gets busy after 2:30 p.m. To avoid this take Frenchman down to Dercum’s Dash then to Bear Tree and then Ina’s Way.
o Take the gondola down – If your crew is tired and you want to avoid the afternoon rush of getting off
the mountain you can ride the River Run gondola down to River Run Village.

Ski some of the tree run runs in The Outback and practice your new skills learned from your lesson. The Outback Express makes for a good meeting place if you ski in the trees.
