Last season, Keystone debuted Independence Bowl – almost 300 acres of expert-only hiking and snowcat ski / ride terrain east of the Dercum Mountain summit.  The terrain offers an in-bounds 'backcountry-light' skiing and riding experience to the chutes and steeper pitches of Independence Bowl. View the pictures and watch the video.

With the addition of the terrain in the upper reaches of Independence Bowl, Keystone now offers more than 3,000 acres, making the largest resort in Summit County even bigger with a grand total of 5 bowls and 3 mountains.

Keystone Adventure Tours, our guided snowcat tours, are running daily based on conditions. This season Keystone offers tours into the chutes, bowls and steeper pitches of upper Independence Bowl along with Bergman and Erickson Bowls.
