Environmental Education
Keystone’s Mountain and Valley Naturalist Tours give guests the opportunity to take a self-guided tour on the mountain or in the valley to learn about the history of Keystone and about the surrounding area. In winter, the Mountain Naturalist Tour starts at the summit of Dercum Mountain and goes down Schoolmarm with stops covering history, views, avalanches, forest management, tree identification, and more. Mountain Naturalist Tours are available in the lobby of the Summit House. In the valley, the Valley Naturalist Tour is available in the lobby of Keystone Lodge, and covers information about Keystone Lake, wetland, rivers, and tree types, and wildlife along a 1.5 mile bike path loop.
