Keystone is proud to announce it has opened Independence Bowl, almost 300 acres of expert-only hiking and snowcat ski/ride terrain east of the summit of Dercum Mountain, for the 2006-2007 season.  The terrain offers an in-bounds 'backcountry-light' skiing and riding experience to the chutes and steeper pitches of Independence Bowl.

With the addition of the terrain in the upper reaches of Independence Bowl, Keystone now offers more than 3,000 acres, making the largest resort in Summit County even bigger.

Keystone Adventure Tours, our guided snowcat tours, are running daily based on conditions. This season Keystone offers tours into the chutes, bowls and steeper pitches of upper Independence Bowl along with Bergman and Erickson Bowls.
