Downhill Trails

Downhill Trails

Due to the construction of the new River Run Gondola, there will be a handful of days that the summer lifts will not be able to run.  Please refer to the tentative construction schedule.
 

Closure Information:
No closures scheduled at this time.  Stay tuned for additional closure dates.
These dates are subject to change.  We apologize for any inconvenience but look forward to the brand new 8 passenger gondola for the upcoming winter season.
We close for the season on Tuesday, September 2.

Green Trails - Easiest
-
Single track dirt trails that range from 18” to 36” wide
- Relatively gentle grades (average 6%)
- Trails pass through open and forested areas
- May encounter smaller embedded rocks, loose rocks, and tree roots
- Requires basic mountain bike handling skills

O -  Bluegrass  -  A fun, short single-track through the aspen groves and open ski runs, a great alternative to Jackstraw Road.

C - Boy Scouts - Closed for 2008 season.

O - Celtic Way  -  Connects Let it Ride to Bluegrass, winding & twisting across open ski trails and lodgepole pines.

C -  Easy Street - Easiest access to the River Run base area.

OGirl Scouts - Turning single-track through lodgepole forest and across open ski trails. Great view of Lake Dillon.

O -  Let It Ride - A fun roller coaster ride across ski trails and through the woods.  

C -  Ride On  -  Closed for 2008 season. 

O -  Sleepy Hollow - Rolling single-track through aspen & pines. This trail is also a good uphill route.

O -  Suz’s Cruise - Connects bottom of Girl Scouts to top of Mosquito Coast via a rolling, twisting single-track. A great Green single-track experience.

O - Timbers Trail - A mostly flat shortcut from the Mountain House base area to the bottom of River Run.

Blue Trails - More Difficult
-  More difficult version of Green Trails
-  Steeper grades (average 10%)
-  May encounter larger rocks and roots
-  May encounter moderate free-ride features such as bridges, bermed turns, and small table top type jumps
-  Requires good mountain bike handling skills

O - 11-7 - A cross country style trail leading from the summit to above the 'Windows' providing great views and wild flowers.

O - Eye of the Tiger - This rolling trail will wind in and out of the forest and offers man made and natural features (bridges, berms, rocks, etc) with the option to try more difficult, expert features.

- Logger's Way - A fast and flowing single-track trail.

- Mosquito Coast - A steep and twisty glide around the meadow and across two amazing bridges.

- River Run Trail - Single-track trail that winds across ski runs leading to the base of the Summit Express Lift.

Black Trails - Most Difficult

  Very difficult, steep single track trails
-  May encounter stair-type drops that can be rolled down
-  May encounter large rock gardens and roots
-  May encounter larger free-ride features
-  Requires expert mountain bike handling skills

O - Cowboy Up  - This short but sweet trail offers tight technical turns, log drops, and a huge rock garden.

- Money - New Last Summer - 22 table top jumps. Enjoy.

O - Motorhead - Flowing single track with berms, steps, table tops, doubles, bridges, and rocky descents.

- Paid-in-Full - Open ski run that weaves in and out of trees with stunts, high-speed jumps & alternate lines.

- Punk Rock - Short, technical, single-track boulder field.

O - TNT- Aggressive descent on overgrown mining and logging roads. Look for the Ida Belle’s mine off to your right.

Double Black Trails - Expert

  Black Trails on steroids
-  May encounter extremely rocky, steep terrain
-  Challenging free-ride features including skinny bridges, step-up’s, drops, and gap jumps
-  These trails are designed for professional downhill mountain bike riders

O - East Forest - NEW  Last Summer - Rolling, fast, flowy downhill through the forest leading to an exciting 14’ tall corkscrew feature.

O -  Even Flow- NEW Last Summer  - This is a steep trail with switchbacks and one of our longest north shore bridges with many unique feature options.

- Helter - NEW This year - This trail utilizes the steep terrain around an old power line, including some rocky descents and optional jumps.

O - High Speed Dirt - New Last Summer -Aggressive downhill, jumps, berms and bridges.

O - Jam Rock - New Last Summer - Features and rocks galore – five larger jump options and a rocky forest with progressive line choices.

 - Milky Way -New Last Summer - Full of jumps, berms and bridges.

- Wild Thing  - A technical, narrow single-track, with tight twisting turns, steeps and rock drops through large aspen stands.

O - Skelter -  A continuation of Helter with rock drops, steeps and jumps.  NOW OPEN!!!

- Keystone Bike Park's Drop Zone
The Keystone Bike Park Crew has transformed a ridge line of drops into a free fall for you.  Choose from four alleys of multiple features all located off the Paid in Full trail.

Alley 1 - Piranha, Barracuda and Jaws - Three ramps - ranging from a small 5-foot drop to a 14-foot drop that allows you to launch up to 22 feet.
Alley 2 - Paranoid - Rock drop with a natural take off and narrow wooden landing between the trees.
Alley 3 - Voodoo - Rock garden into North Shore feature.
Alley 4 - Witch Doctor - North Shore feature launching you straight into the air ending with a G-Out (a natural landscape feature shaped like a berm ending in a straight and steep downhill run out).
